The region

The province of Almería has the most sunshine hours in all of Spain.

The natural park of Cabo de Gata- Nijar is untreated and so far little known.

Tiny fishing villages, sleeping villiages with typical andalusian houses, give the impression that the time has stood still.

There are 241 km of coastline in the province of Almería, small endless deserted bays, even in the summertime.

The most famous beaches of the region are probably Genovesess, Monsul and Cabo de Gata.

The average annual temperature reaches almost 20 degrees. The amount of rainis the lowest in all of Europe.

The result of this extreme climate are semi-deserts, grown with dwarf palmes and agaves. It is the land of colours, sometimes it seems surreal like Mexico.

Attractive landscapes: National park of Cabo de Gata, Sierra de los Filabres, La Alpujarra almeriense.

The region Almería served as a scenery in many famous movies. In the "Western town" near Tabernas you will find this "Mini Hollywood".
